Quantum Healing: time to rethink what's possible

When I started learning about the ultra-fascinating, mysterious, and low-key eerie realm of quantum physics, one of the first questions that came up for me was, “Why the eff isn’t this taught in schools?!”…in retrospect, on a scale of Harvard to Hogwarts, the essence of quantum mechanics would likely fall more on the Hogwarts end of the spectrum...
In any case, I had taken a physics class in high school and 2 courses in college, and all I remember seeing is one lousy paragraph about quantum research in a textbook. What’s predominantly taught in schools is Newtonian physics, which does a pretty okay job explaining the types of macroscopic phenomena we witness on a daily basis. The problem is that the quantum interactions observed at the subatomic level are equally valid (if not more valid...), yet at complete odds with the Newtonian school of thought.
Now that poses one hell of a situation for the scientific community considering that subatomic particles make up our macroscopic world...How is it possible for them to exhibit radically different behavior?
Here are some examples of the dissonance:
Newtonian (N) vs. Quantum (Q)
N: Causal determinism - Assumes that the world is orderly and predictable. If we know the forces being applied to an object, we can know its exact velocity and position at a given time.
Q: Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle - Velocity and position cannot be precisely measured at the same time. An attempt to measure the exact velocity of a subtomic particle, will knock it about in some unpredictable way, so that a simultaneous measurement of its location has no validity.
N: Materialism - The assumption that the universe is made of matter which follows specific physical laws.
Q: Quanta - Physical atoms are made up of vortices of energy that are constantly spinning and vibrating, each one radiating its own unique energy signature. And they are, for the most part, unpredictable…we can only come up with probabilities (not certainties) regarding their whereabouts and activities.
N: Locality - The assumption that all material objects interact from certain positions independent of/separate from each other.
Q: Non-locality - An interaction that occurs due to the phenomenon of entanglement - particles that interact with each other (...basically they just have to hang out for a bit) become permanently connected, or dependent on each other’s states even after being separated by a ridiculous amount of distance. So, maybe there is hope for long-distance relationships... ;)
N: Epiphenomenalism - The assumption that everything stems from matter – i.e. consciousness and cognition is simply a phenomenon of the material brain…so if we invented a sophisticated-enough robot, I guess it should have consciousness…
Q: Observer effect - The simple act of observing an experiment changes the results (consciousness affects/manifests matter). This was best demonstrated via the infamous double slit experiment. If you aren’t familiar with the concept, watch this short, lay-person friendly video below 😊
Now check this out:
Dr. Dean Radin, Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Science (IONS) and an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Sonoma State University, published a revolutionary study in 2012 where he put a new spin on the double slit experiment for the purpose of elucidating the “observer effect”.
Radin put together a double slit experiment inside of a custom-made aluminum box painted matte black on the inside and outside to prevent electromagnetic interference. He then recruited a group of skilled meditators and non-meditators, and then had them (one at a time) imagine they were inside the aluminum box watching the photons go through the slits. Remember, in the absence of an observer, the photons should form a wave pattern on the screen. But guess what happened – the meditators caused a significant shift from the expected wave pattern to the double bar pattern…i.e. they collapsed the wave with their mind even though they weren’t actually observing the experiment take place. The group of non-meditators didn’t have significant success collapsing the waves – which speaks to the power of the mind that is developed through meditation.
Overall, Radin published his results which involved a total of 250 test sessions and 137 participants, concluding that consciousness seems to be the factor responsible for collapsing a wave of probability and possibility into a physical particle.¹
Other experimental work by Radin:
1) He conducted more double slit experiments over a 3 year period via an internet program. Humans completed 5,000 sessions and a computer functioning as a control recorded another 7,000 sessions. The sessions done by the computer had no effect whatsoever, but again the meditators caused a significant collapse in the wave pattern.
2) He also hooked up meditators to an EEG to measure brain wave activity during the experiments. The EEG results showed that the intensity in which people were able to concentrate, correlated positively with their ability to collapse the wave.²
So, in light of all that jazz...
I theorized that maybe if I start viewing the world through a quantum lens and intentionally apply my consciousness to various things, perhaps macroscopic reality will start behaving like the quantum world… If all possibilities exist at the quantum level, and our consciousness determines the manifestation of subatomic physical particles, and humans are made of subatomic stuff, would it be possible to use ultra-intense, focused consciousness supercharged with the emotion of love to call into this physical reality the possibility of HEALTH and HEALING?!? I realize I just went from 0 to 1,000 and totally extrapolated the data, BUT umm I like to push the envelope and find out what’s possible…
Anyways, to answer the above question, it seemed reasonable to start googling things like "consciousness healing", "intention healing", "anomylous healings", and “energy healing” – which are, for the most part, things that I considered to be woo-woo, likely invalid, and somewhat spooky at the time. Yet quantum physics seemed to provide a scientific basis for how these types of healings might work. These topics, of course, are far too nebulous for physicists to take an interest in, but a handful of scientific pioneers have dedicated their lives to bridging the gap between quantum physics, conscious intention, and how it might relate to healing and the human experience.
These scientists include Dr. Bruce Lipton, Dr. Joe Dispenza, and Dr. William Bengston (whom I highly recommend watching on YouTube, because Dr. Bengston's dad jokes are nothing short of priceless).
1) Dr. Bruce Lipton’s research has a particular focus on epigenetics and how the mind influences gene expression (I've utilized his content several times in previous posts). Website: https://www.brucelipton.com/
2) Dr. Joe Dispenza has a remarkable personal story of reconstructing his own broken vertebrae using the power of his mind after being told he would never walk again (he was hit by a vehicle during a triathlon). This experience spurred him to switch careers – going from a Doctor of Chiropractic to getting a PhD in neuroscience. He now conducts meditation workshops around the world that are notorious for helping people heal themselves of chronic/terminal illnesses. Website: https://drjoedispenza.com/
3) Dr. William Bengston is a little known researcher who has been curing cancer in mice and small rodents with 100% success (and teaching others to do the same) for the last 35 years. He has conducted rigorous studies at 8 institutions (4 of them being medical schools) demonstrating consistent and incredible results. Despite being a hard core scientist and skeptic himself, his cure for cancer is getting little attention from the larger medical community…perhaps due to the fact that the cure is essentially “free”, doesn’t require any resources, and is therefore not particularly marketable. Furthermore, if you acknowledge the fact that his method actually works, in doing so, you will essentially need to let go of any prior conceptions of reality and start viewing the world through a quantum lens. Some people have a hard time doing that. Website: https://www.bengstonresearch.com/
Reading the work of these three individuals gave me just enough confidence to start trying some experiments of my own…
Probably due to my rebellious nature, I didn’t use anyone’s established method, but instead, invented my own. It had been shown that anomalous healing interactions involve a principle of resonance. As seen on EEG and EKG, the healer sets the frequency, and the healee’s brainwaves and heartwaves instantaneously resonate with the healer’s (and funfact, this connection occurs regardless of distance…which can likely be explained by quantum physics). So, I decided to work with a frequency of love...simply because I have a lot of it. The other components of these documented healings typically involve some visualization of what you would like to happen, focus, and the intent to help. Pretty simple.
Putting it into action...
So at the time, I was hanging out with a friend who had stage 3 melanoma cancer. He had already gone through 4 rounds of conventional treatment (chemo and radiation) which had essentially yielded no therapeutic results. He had just started his 5th round of treatment when I started using my technique with him. A month later, he called me crying saying that he just received some preliminary test results back showing that he was cancer free. Now granted, he was receiving conventional treatment at the time, so there’s no way of knowing if my technique played a role in the cure or not, but it certainly fed my curiosity…
A few days later, I was giving a massage to a classmate (I was in massage therapy school at the time) who had been having shoulder problems for several years. When standing normally, their problem shoulder was literally elevated an inch higher than the other one. I ended up finding about 14 muscle knots (tender points) throughout the muscles of the upper back and scapula. The treatment for tender points is to apply hella focused pressure over each one until they release. I successfully treated about 10 of them, and I had 4 to go. I already palpated them, I knew exactly where they were, but the problem was I was starting to have nerve pain shooting up my arm from applying so much pressure through the small joints in my hands. So, I decided to give my alternative technique a try. Without telling my client I was doing something different, I pressed my thumb into a knot, just hard enough so I could feel the tightened tissue, and I started doing my thing. Within seconds, the knot melted into relaxation and when I went looking for the other 3 knots, they were gone as well. My client said, “Hmm, that one felt markedly different.”
Since then, I’ve worked on issues from a distance, emotional distress, structural alignments, fascia issues, all types of physical pain, insomnia, organ stuff, pretty much anything and everything…I’ve definitely facilitated a number of things that most doctors would deem impossible. And while that’s cool and all, and I’m sure I could be set for life just doing this kind of work…it’s not good enough for me.
I see a positive result 95% of the time, and no result 5% of the time. Results do not seem to correlate with a person’s level of openness or skepticism. Sometimes it’s curative and sometimes the pain/dysfunction comes back. It’s my awareness that subconscious blocks can absolutely trump this kind of work (hence why I’m getting certified in hypnotherapy…i.e. sometimes the subconscious mind thinks the disease/dysfunction is serving a higher purpose, and therefore, the system will be resistant to change).
Furthermore, I’d rather teach people to do this kind of thing for themselves. Fact of the matter is, if I apply love and healing intent to something and it resolves, that’s great, but if I don’t teach people how to establish the conditions for health and healing within, then some other physical issue is just going to show up down the road. My real passion is getting to the root of the matter and setting people up with mind, body, spirit health for the rest of their lives…if you would like to read about my thoughts on how to do that, see my post "The Universal Epidemic (and cure)". Now, with all that said...
What exactly am I doing?
My method: I believe God is the ultimate source of love, so I connect to God and imagine my heart region being filled with golden light (representative of love). As I inhale, I visualize (and feel) that golden light being amplified in my heart region, and then as I exhale, I use my attention to send the golden light to the the problem area of whomever I’m working on with the intent of doing whatever is in the highest good of that being (and then repeat…)That’s literally it. This is not a hands-on healing method. I just use my mind and love.
Normally, the client reports improvement after a few minutes and complete resolution in a half hour. Typically, chronic issues tend to take a little more time. I ask the client to notify me of any sensations they are experiencing as sometimes you have to “chase the pain”. I also like to visualize bones moving/tissue healing/muscle tension releasing/tumors disappearing/etc. as I work.
Doing this is not at all draining for me, rather I find it to be euphoric and energizing. I definitely get into a meditative state - I lose track of time and the rest of the world fades away until all that’s left is love for the human in front of me. Based on the experiences of other healers, you don’t have to get that deep to see results. I do not have a special gift. Anyone can do this. The three researchers I mentioned above have proven that healing abilities (including self-healing) is part of our inherent human machinery. Time to rethink what's possible, my friends.
