A love letter to humanity...
Dear humanity,
I’ve been thinking a lot about you recently...
Why?
Well, because I love you. It’s thoughts of you that keep me up at night, you are the first thing on my mind in the morning, and you are the topic of my prayers. My daily inquiry is how do I best serve you? And I hear the same answer in my heart every day. I know the answer will never change, yet I still ask. I find comfort in the fact that unlike most questions in life, this question always has the same, reliable, infallible answer.
So what is the answer? Well, I’m sure you know it…we all recognize it to some degree…it’s simply love. The problem is that very few of us acknowledge and appreciate the true power of love…or the lack thereof.
Now I know what you might be thinking…while “love is the answer” sounds nice in theory, it’s not a very practical solution to the world’s problems…it’s unlikely that the love of one person, two people, or a group of people could have a global impact because there’s too much fear, evil, and separation in our world today. People who literally believe “love is the answer” are said to have their heads in the clouds....or they must do a lot of drugs...
While I can’t speak for others, I can speak for myself – I am a left-brain dominant, lover of science, reason, logic, and practicality who simply wants more than anything to help facilitate the healing of humanity and the restoration of creation. In my opinion, the current systems in place that are supposed to serve these functions, are completely inadequate, and I simply ask that you hear me out.
We can have a number of issues in this life – medical issues, relationship issues, school issues, money issues, psychological issues, etc. – and society at large views these conditions as separate entities, each one requiring a different remedial intervention. If I asked someone what does hypertension, self-sabotage in relationships, the inability to pass a class, debilitating debt, and bipolar disorder have in common? I would likely be met with a blank stare.
While I have always had a theory that these “issues” share a common thread, only recently have I found a way to prove it to myself.
In hypnotherapy, when you ask someone to go back to a scene that is the absolute root cause of their current “issue” – whether it be a medical condition, a psychological condition, a relationship problem, or a work problem – people always go back to scenes that depict some form of lack of love. Scenes that induce feelings of abandonment, unworthiness, separation, marginalization, abuse, or neglect…
So, as a future doctor, my perspective has shifted – I no longer see medical conditions as conditions, I see them as symptoms of the underlying condition which is lack of love. It stands to reason that if you identify and treat the underlying condition, all symptoms will naturally resolve. The underlying condition and root cause is therefore the ultimate leverage point that demands the attention of healthcare providers. While this does not negate the necessity of knowing how to effectively manage various health conditions, it seems to me that many physicians who pride themselves on treating the root cause, are still not looking deep enough. Because if they did, there would be hospitals, healthcare clinics, and private practices oriented around addressing the lack of love epidemic.
The interesting thing is, when I propose that the root cause of essentially all issues is lack of love, pretty much everyone agrees with me – doctors and lay-people alike. So, why isn’t anyone doing anything about it, particularly in the field of healthcare? I don’t know the answer to this. Maybe people think it’s too big of an issue, something they can’t change, a problem with no solution…I adamantly disagree.
The beautiful thing is there is not actually a lack of love in this universe, there’s only a perceived lack of love… and we can change perceptions. Are there people out there who have absolutely no access to healthy, loving human relationships? Yes. But here’s the thing, it is my awareness that we exist in a universe that is built of love. Just as fish are immersed in water, we are bathed in love. We were created in the image of love and our human spirit possesses a limitless capacity to give and receive love. There is a universal loving energy that flows through us, it flows between us, it sustains us, it makes up the building blocks of this universe, and it is the very fabric of our existence. This is an unlimited source of love that gives life to life. It blossoms inside of us, expresses itself within us, and radiates out from us – far beyond the perceived margins of our body. We can suppress it, we can block it, we can ignore it, we can deny its existence, yet we cannot be severed from it. If your heart is beating, you have access to boundless love. The only thing you have to do is believe it and receive it.
And what’s more is even if no one around you loves you or sees your value, you can still love yourself and know your worth. See, as children we are completely dependent on other people and our environment. If we perceive that we aren’t worthy of love, interesting, attractive, intelligent, or valued, then that’s what we believe. As children we do not yet have the capacity to say, “No mom. I disagree with you. I think I am actually quite valuable, loveable, gifted, and beautiful.”
But as adults, we do have this power. It’s not our fault that debilitating beliefs were programmed into our subconscious minds at a young age and were reinforced through our life experiences, but it is our responsibility to look at those beliefs and see them for what they really are - contrary to design.
It’s our responsibility to rediscover, reconnect with, and remanifest our existential truths.
So, in case no one has ever told you this, by design, you are a genius, you are perfect where you are at on the way to where you’re going, you are beautiful, you are gifted, you are unique, you have something of value to offer this world, you are entirely worthy of love, you are a treasure with immeasurable worth, and you are a force of light in this world. See, in a sense you have already won at life, because you are the only one who can be you. There has never been anyone like you, nor will there ever be again. You belong here. You are somebody’s hero. You are the answer to somebody’s prayer. That is the truth.
And here’s a secret: the only words that actually matter are the words that you say to yourself. See, the only reason other peoples’ words impact us is because we often let their words change the words that we say to ourselves. If someone were to tell me, “Mica, you’re stupid”, but the truth that I stand firm in is, “Mica, you’re brilliant", then I don’t have to let their words in. I don’t have to let them change the words that I say to myself, my narrative, the words that I know to be true.
A lot of times as adults we are still waiting for people/our parents to tell us things that we needed to hear as kids. While not every childhood is great, it’s never too late to heal the inner child. At any point, you can decide to become a parent to yourself, and be the parent that you never had. You can start telling yourself the things that your parents never told you, the things that you desperately needed to hear. You can get in touch with your inherent worth – rediscover the truths you came into this world knowing, and own them because they are your birthright as a human being in this universe.
The words you to say to yourself are more powerful, more pervasive, more impactful, and more potent than anyone else’s words. And, when you upgrade the words that you say to yourself, an interesting phenomenon happens. When you know your worth and your value, other people start recognizing it, too. As the way you view yourself improves, so does everyone else’s view of you. It’s like it gets mirrored back to you. Call it law of attraction, karma, reaping what you sow, whatever you want, but various people groups throughout history have observed and documented this universal mechanism – we magnetize and draw to ourselves the same frequency of energy that we emit. So even if you don’t start out in loving relationships, when you change your relationship with yourself, it changes the frequency you are emitting into the world, and you will then start attracting frequencies that resonate with your new, elevated set-point. Either your existing relationships will improve or it will be an “out with the old and in with the new” kind of exchange.
So that’s where it all starts – reconnecting with your truths, receiving the universal love, and extending that love to yourself. Then, you are more than equipped to restore love in the other areas of your life. When love is restored to the system, flowing through you without hindrance, giving and receiving love as naturally as you exhale and inhale – you have come into alignment with the divine.
You were designed to experience this love, and this love is healing. As it courses through your veins, saturates every cell in your body, illness and disease no longer have a place, they no longer belong, they no longer fit in the picture.
Limiting beliefs acquired from this world that have kept you in bondage your entire life are shattered, eliminated, eradicated because now you know the truth about your identity. You understand that you are an immaculate part of this creation, made of love, bathed in love, designed to give and receive love, you have a role to play, you can lessen someone’s suffering, you can make an impact, you can leave an eternal legacy…a legacy of love.
Your money issues resolve, because do you know what money is? It’s energy, just like everything else, just like you. And as you raise your frequency and vibration by consistently experiencing elevated emotions of love, joy, peace, and gratitude, you will start to attract money and get to a place of financial freedom – and because of the love in your heart, you know this money isn’t so you can get more, but it’s so you can give more.
When you know the truth about your identity, you are set free. You are freed up to start living, truly living, and carrying out your life purpose, your divine mission – the thing that lights a fire in your heart, compels you, pulls you, captivates you. Many people don’t know what their “thing” is, and I gently offer that perhaps it is because the way you view yourself is too lowly, you are thinking too small. You could be looking at the “thing” straight in the face, but not recognize it because there’s a voice in your head that says, “No, you could never do that”. Well that voice is a lie, you can do it, you were meant to do it, and the universe will support you in doing it. I want everyone to find their “thing” and do their “thing” because that’s what this world needs - more people who are breaking free from the limiting beliefs that plague this society, and are trusting that they were made for more. The greatest gift you can give this world is being the most authentic version of yourself. We need you. I need you.
I know this life can be hard, believe me, I know. But we are all in this together. There is always love, and there is always hope.
Action plan for addressing the lack of love epidemic:
1) Increase awareness/start the conversation
2) Hypnotherapy/energy psychology
3) Living by example/planting seeds of love everywhere I go
4) Hugs are important
Thanks for reading,
Peace, blessings, love, and light –
Mica
